New Year - Same old War
I'm not a big new New Years person. I don't think arbitrary things like dates on a calender change much of anything. For sure, the U.S. will still be turning Iraq into a hell hole of death, destruction, ethnic cleansing on a massive scale, and a trap for even more U.S. soldiers. And as I've said before, look for it to get a lot worse before it gets any better. Never underestimate how many people politicians are willing to get killed to avoid admitting they screwed up:
Unfortunately, the above video is a little U.S. centric. Lets remember the victims here are the Iraqi's, not the U.S. soldiers. Here is a graphic from today's New York Times pointing out various estimates of how many of them have been killed:
